MISSION.
Greater New Hope Christian Fellowship was founded in September of 1999 with a clear vision and mission to meet the needs of the total man—spirit, soul and body. The ministry is prepared to meet those needs through vibrant worship that exalts God, through an environment that fosters fellowship and familial love, and through activities and resources that promote healthy living and lifestyles. The Greater New Hope vision is realized in these five concentrated areas which have become the core of our existence:

Enlightenment is for those groping in darkness (ignorance)

Empowerment is for those struggling in weakness (victims)

Equipment is for those needing the furnishings and tools to carry out their life’s purpose

Establishment is for those needing stability and the anchor necessary to stand the test of time

Enrichment is for those needing an opportunity to strengthen and be strengthened by sharing life’s successes and stumbles with others desiring spiritual maturity

BISHOP RICHARD HUNTER
Bishop Richard Hunter—a dynamic, anointed, and gifted asset to the body of Christ has been in ministry now for well over 30 years. He is the Pastor and Founder of the Greater New Hope Christian Fellowship church located in Springfield, Virginia. He serves as a Regional Bishop and Executive Secretary of the Full Gospel Christian Fellowship headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland.
He’s a passionate worshipper, accomplished musician, composer and songwriter. He's a mentor, role-model, and motivator.
Bishop Hunter has been uniquely graced by God to bring to life the scriptures and to impart faith to those who hear and receive the word of God that he preaches and teaches. He has been blessed to be the husband of one tremendous woman, Elect-Lady Crystal, his perfect ministry mate, and the father of three children, Carlton, Destiny and Agnes. Not one for flowering accolades but rather humbled that he was chosen and ordained by God to have such a significant kingdom assignment and impact.
LADY CRYSTAL HUNTER
Crystal Hunter was literally born to sing. She is the First Lady and Leading Lady of worship at the Greater New Hope Christian Fellowship in Springfield, Virginia. Crystal has sung with the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Mass Choir and even auditioned to sing with the Richard Smallwood Singers. She is constantly perfecting her gift and seeking to establish her voice and presence in many musical forums. Presently she is working on a-
debut CD project to be released soon titled “Finally”. She can be heard regularly each Sunday morning as she leads praise and worship at her home church. Whenever she opens her mouth blessings are sure to flow out. She is also the perfect mate for her husband of over 30 years, Bishop Richard Hunter, and an exemplary mother for her 3 children—Carlton, Destiny, and Agnes.
